Awhile back I purchased a handmade girl's skirt at the Salvation Army thrift store, not because it would fit me or because I have a little girl (my little girl is almost all grown up!) - but just because I liked (okay - LOVED) the sweet lavender fabric with the pretty violets.
I love this! I have some old doilies and such that my grandmother stitched that I want to do this with. I'm not a whiz on the sewing machine but I can do a little!
ReplyDeleteI also love the idea of using old shirts from Goodwill. I will have to make a trip there this weekend!!
ReplyDeleteTracy - you could easily do that - just pin it down on a background fabric for the front, and choose a coordinating fabric for the back. It would look lovely!
ReplyDeleteJust featured your project on "An Oldie but a Goodie" link party that I am now co-hosting with Small Things with Love! http://www.cutesycrafts.com/2013/03/an-oldie-but-goodie-9.html Love this pillow!
